My name is Lis but my family calls me Lissie. I live in sunny California with the love of my life, Mike. Mike and I were married on July 24th, 2010; After being together for 7 years we decided it was time to tie the knot! For now it's just the two of us (and our two kitties: Zoe and Sophie), but we definately want kids in the not too distant future. My day job is working for a bank but my real passion is baking and I hope that one day i'll be able to open my own bakery specializing in cupcakes. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be a customer at my store!

I started this blog with a very specific goal in mind: bake every single cupcake in Martha Stewart's Cupcakes and write about it. I want to see what worked and what didn't, what would I do differently the next time around.  While I am still aiming to finish that goal I also want to talk about tips and info that I pick up along the way that maybe other newbie bakers out there may find helpful.
